On the 24th, amid mounting pressure from the U.S. government to implement investment in the U.S., it was reported that the U.S. side recently requested the Korean government and companies to invest in local memory semiconductor production facilities and supply memory volumes. In particular , the government unofficially raised complaints about the announced Honam semiconductor cluster project worth 800 trillion won, stating that while the Korean government actively supports domestic semiconductor investment, it remains passive about semiconductor investment within the U.S.  This is the first time the U.S. has mentioned a government-led 'mega project' while pressuring investment, but rather than expressing concern over the megaproject itself, there is dissatisfaction that Korean companies' semiconductor investment plans in the U.S. are not coming out quickly. It is known that similar discussions took place when Minister Kim Jeong-kwan visited the U.S. for investment negotiations for three nights and four days on the 16th, but the government has expressed concern over the U.S. semiconductor investment They say the demand is separate from the '$350 billion investment in the U.S.' Concerns are growing among domestic semiconductor companies over U.S.-origin investment pressure, and if the 800 trillion won Honam semiconductor cluster is established and the U.S. demands for investment in local semiconductor facilities are formalized, it could create a double burden for domestic companies. They arrest all illegal residents and lock them in strange places, don't feed them well, and violate human rights, Asking to delete semiconductor factories makes sense??? but that's obviously a separate matter. There's no such thing as erasing semiconductor factories in U.S. investments!!!!!!!
