On the 15th, Timeout announced the '40 Most Wonderful Neighborhoods in the World 2026,' selecting 40 cities across 26 countries and regions worldwide, and ranked Jongno 3-ga in Seoul as the top destination. ,,, Timeout selected candidate areas from local editors and experts around the world, and then comprehensively evaluated food, beverages, nightlife, independent shops with local characteristics, residential environments, and community spirit to determine the rankings. Timeout said that Jongno 3-ga   is one of the oldest districts in Seoul, yet it has gained new vitality without losing its unique character. He noted that he especially focused on the traditional hanok of Ikseon-dong and the street stalls in Jongno 3-ga, with the Ikseon-dong hanok   having long attracted tourists, and recently, young people seeking affordable food and a rustic atmosphere have been visiting food stalls late into the night, creating a new nightlife culture. He also cited the changes in Seosunra Trail along the Jongmyo wall, explaining that the once quiet street has recently transformed into a street filled with independent craft studios, jewelry workshops, and stylish bars.
