While most people prefer nursing as a major for permanent residency, the choice may vary depending on the region. Among various majors, the Department of Hotel Management can vary by region, and especially if you study in Perth, it is said that it is included in the Australian permanent residency department.

The most famous school for hotel management is ECU. ECU University's hotel management department offers an internship practicum for one semester (final semester), which is   an effective learning experience at 4~5-star hotels or resorts. You must complete at least 600 hours of internship to graduate. If you can be assigned work outside of the internship assigned by the school, it can be a chance to build your career and even earn living expenses.

. Admission Requirements

- Department admission requirements: at least 1 year at a regular Korean university / 2 years at a junior college

- English admission requirements: IELTS 6.0 (6.0 in each section) / PTE average of 52 (minimum 50 per section)

- The study period is 3 years.

- Enrollment periods are February and July each year

- Scholarships cover 20% of total tuition fees

If you do not meet the admission requirements for the above departments, you can transfer through the diploma program at ECC (Edith Cowan College).

If you pursue a Master of Hospitality Management as a non-major, you can prepare for Australian permanent residency in a relatively short time without completing a three-year bachelor's degree. However, with the 190 or 491 visa, you need experience or a job offer to proceed, which can actually be disadvantageous for graduates with a high degree without experience. Therefore, it is recommended to start with an Australian bachelor's degree.
