In the information age, data science continuously analyzes ever-changing data, extracts critical information, and supports efficient management to support smooth organizational operations and risk improvement. Its value changes depending on how important assets hidden within big data are discovered, and how it is utilized makes it an excellent tool for generating profits and value for companies.
MDS (MASTER OF DATA SCIENCE) - The Master OF Data Science studies how to extract necessary information through data search and analysis for real-world problems. In other words, you will study skills that expand and develop knowledge from data exploration to analysis and extraction to management and information processing.
MDS accepts students with bachelor's degrees in programming, databases, science, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or statistics. With such a background in a major, you will greatly understand and advance the master's program in data science and accelerate your pursuit of research. Core courses in this field cover data preprocessing, data analysis, and visualization. Then, you can choose data science electives such as machine learning, semi-structured data learning such as text, and big data processing. Electives allow you to build deeper skills in data analysis and machine learning.
In the final semester of MDS, you will participate in an industry experience project developing data-driven IT solutions in collaboration with industry mentors. Alternatively, you will undertake a minor research project under the supervision of internationally recognized researchers investigating cutting-edge issues
