Census Date - Course withdrawal date

Usually, you register for each course through enrollment, and within three weeks after the course starts, you can withdraw due to difficulty or personal reasons. You can decide whether to continue or withdraw before the tuition fee is charged. If you withdraw or drop, no penalties are charged, and your academic record

There are no leftovers. For elective subjects, you can change them to another before the Census Date.


GPA - Grade Average

It refers to the average grade or score of various subjects, also known as the average GPA or GPA of university grades.


O-WEEK - Orientation

Before starting school life, there is a session week at the beginning of each semester to welcome new students and gather information about school life (including activities) through the orientation of freshmen.


Transcript - Academic Transcript

To receive an academic transcript as a university transcript, you need to pay a fee to the school department. You can log in with your personal student ID and print it unofficially. The official certificate you paid for varies in paper quality and transcript quality.


Semester - Semester

Generally, the college year is divided into two semesters. The 1st Semester runs from late February or early March to July, and the 2nd Semester runs from August to mid-October or November. Typically, classes are held for 12 or 13 weeks per semester and each course, and may end earlier or later including the final submission and exam periods.


Trimester - 3rd Semester

As mentioned above, it operates in two semesters each year. Some universities have students who fail their courses,,, but internationally students are required to study full-time, and if it's a three-year program, they have to apply for a graduation visa within three years, so they operate in a three-semester program. Since the second semester ends in October, it is also called a Summer Semester.


VET (Vocational Education and Training) - Vocational Education Training

It combines theory and practice, with a curriculum focused on professional work rather than theory. It is generally offered by TAFE (Technical And Further Education) programs run by the state government or private colleges run by private schools. Certificates you can obtain after completing the VET program include certificate III or certificate IV, which are courses for completion, and diploma or advanced diploma programs, which provide more specialized training.
